Hey there! My name is David Banther, and I am a certified geek! My wife and I reside in my hometown of Tarpon Springs, Florida, a small Greek influenced community on the water in Tampa Bay. I am a true “Florida Cracker” and enjoy all things (though not always the heat) that this area has to offer.

I have my Bachelor of Science in Economics from Hillsdale College and my Masters of Science in Management (Information Technology) from Colorado Technical University. I am currently enrolled in University of Notre Dame’s online education program, getting my Executive Certificate in Business Administration. I manage my family’s professional services firm for a living, and my local civic involvement includes: Rotary, Tarpon Springs Heritage Preservation Board, Tarpon Springs Boys & Girls Club, Pinellas County Emergency Management Volunteer, and I am a 3rd degree Freemason.

Technology, social media, and traveling are my passions; you will find my thoughts on these subjects in videos on my YouTube Channel, blog posts on this site and on my travel/luxury blog, “The Forward Cabin“, proudly part of Chris Pirillo’s Lockergnome Blog Network. My other hobbies include amateur radio, weightlifting, politics, and tracking hurricanes. I guess they all kind of sound “geeky”.
